A Networker is someone who interacts with other people in order to achieve a purpose or a goal. This can be a benevolent situation like working for a charity or with their child’s school PTA, parent teacher association. All normal and traditional businesses must have customers; therefore they must first have prospects. So they hire sales people and have them talk to other people and see if they are prospects and potentially customers for their company. These sales people are required to make quotas and make enough sales so the company can make a profit.
Networkers can also engage other people for a financial reason. People who are in the process of building a MLM or Network Marketing business will network with people to find prospects for their home based business. This sounds very similar to what traditional companies do to attract customers, doesn’t it. It is.
Traditional companies have marketing teams that create lists. They have telemarketers that call the prospects to set appointments or make sales. Networkers also call their list to determine if the prospect is a real possibility for their business as a distributor or a customer. They set appointments to share their opportunity with the prospect and see how they can help the prospect improve their life with the business opportunity or by the use of their products.
Just like traditional business, a networker must acquire the habits of creating a list, adding to their list daily, and sharing their business opportunity and their products daily. Also, and this is very important, the networker is not a professional marketer when he begins his business. He might be an accountant, or a plumber. So he must begin a self-improvement program and learn the skills necessary to be productive with his business efforts.
What is a Professional Networker? To be a professional networker and build a successful network marketing business, our networker must first get involved in a training and support program where he can improve himself and develop the personal habits and the people skills for success. Fortunately for most new networkers, there is a training system available to them from their upline in the line of sponsorship in your company.
A lot of people think they can do this development by themselves or worse, they think they do not need any improvement. I assure them they do for it is extremely rare for anyone to already be prepared for a network marketing business.
A professional networker develops the personal habits required for success. These habits include reading good books, listening to audios, turning their car into a mobile university, watching the videos that help them with their new venture and prospects by inviting people to see their business opportunity daily. And they counsel with their mentor(s) to see where and how they can improve.
The professional networker becomes a leader. As John Maxwell says, “Leadership is Influence.” This influence comes by setting the example for your team. This makes you proud of yourself for proving to yourself that you can do the right things. And it demonstrates to your team what is required to become successful in the network marketing business, or in life for that matter.
Where are you? Ask yourself where you are? Are you doing these things yourself? I pray you are. Even if you are not, you can start. That is a tremendous thing to discover. You can decide to start doing the things a professional networker does. You can decide to read the right books. You can decide to listen to the audios. You can decide to watch the proper videos. You can decide to counsel with your mentor. You can decide to prospect and share your opportunity daily.
Therefore your success is ultimately a decision you make!

I Can / We Can Attitude. A professional networker has a great, positive attitude. There are a thousand books written on having a positive attitude. But to me it is a simple as if you are doing what you are suppose to do, then enjoy it and show people that you are having a great time.
Never Quit. As I said earlier, there will be tuff times in building your business. So what! Compare the tremendous benefits of building your business to the bad things that happen to you, and there is no comparison. The benefits so out way the bad. So never quit. Just keep plugging away with a good attitude and never quit.
